The role is a key implementer of the practice’s voice. Cohesion across multiple communication platforms is fundamental to its success. You’ll have a demonstrated sensitivity to the intersection between design, storytelling, digital media and the ability to weave together strands of a greater ‘practice’ story through a variety of expressions and subject matters.
Working in close collaboration with the Design, Marketing and Communications Committee, Head of Marketing and Communications, our digital archivist and the wider practice this role contributes to and implements the Cox marketing strategy, spanning digital and traditional comms.
You can be based in either our Adelaide or Brisbane studios. The role is Full Time but we will consider a pro-rata, 3 day minimum role for the right candidate. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and location. Relevant experience of similar role in a design-based organisation is a must.
_ Corporate website (Aperture)

_Co-ordinate and publish calendar of social media content
_Monitor social media presence (this is key) – including local office activities – flag good and poor practice (correct if necessary)
_Establish meaningful metrics, provide reports with relevant insights/highlights
_Pro-actively seek and propose best practice, and enhance uptake of knowledge management systems
_Gate-keeper (this is key) for Master access to social media
STRATEGIC PROJECT SUPPORT
_ Contribute to strategy and manage major project marketing and external communications of Cox news through best channels (inc PR, external publishers, and Cox-owned channels)
_ With HoM, Chair and HR, Manage and deliver internal communications systems that create connections between staff, studios, and cohesion across practice (specifically, intranet)
_ Contribute to marketing collateral strategy, structure, action & status (inc Sector Brochures, Digital Asset Management/Open Asset, photography for major projects)
_ Plan and implement communication of research (inc developing “thought leadership” pieces relevant to national target opportunities)
_ Assist the design of D&As positioning strategy on relevant international, national & local bodies (where appropriate) to broaden network, circulate name, achieve market penetration, win work.
_ Assist D&As with sponsorship, attendance/speaking at relevant international, national & local conferences/events (where appropriate & where it objectively helps in winning of work)
_ Facilitate cohesion across and within branches (e.g. convenor of national graphics meeting, deliver digital platform training, guides for social media, photography briefing, bowerbird etc)
