Carol is a Senior Associate of the practice in our Brisbane office.
Her multiple degrees include a Masters of Business Administration (Newcastle University), Masters of Applied Management (Newcastle University), and Bachelor of Architecture and of Environmental Design (Technical University of Nova Scotia). In her early career, Carol assisted in the master-planning of the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax and the Springhill Regional Hospital in Nova Scotia. She was one of the Project Architects for the Spohn South Hospital in Texas, the Kessler Air Force Base Hospital in Mississippi, and the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Hospital in Belgium.
Upon joining Cox Architecture in 1996, Carol was a lead documentation architect on Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital specifically its Acute Centre. As now one of our most experienced project architects, Carol leads teams of up to 20 staff, examples being the $500 million Townsville Hospital Redevelopment and the $300 million South Bank Institute of Technology Redevelopment.
Carol is chair of our Associates group in Brisbane, and is nationally one of three leaders of our Health Sector team. She is also a mentor for our younger graduates and is a Life Member of National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC).
