Robert Callanan


Robert graduated with a Master of Architecture in 2012 from the Queensland University of Technology and began his career with Cox as a second-year university student.

Robert’s primary focus is in the design and delivery of sports facilities and stadia, and he has worked on projects in this sector in both Australia and overseas. He was an integral member of the team that delivered the award-winning Anne Meares Velodrome and later the Jakarta International Velodrome. Both facilities were used in the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Asian Games respectively.

Robert is currently leading the team that’s delivering the North Queensland Stadium, which once complete, will provide a dynamic piece of infrastructure for Townsville.

Robert is a highly-respected team member at Cox, providing strong design strategy with a competent understanding of BIM technology.
