Rodney first came to Canberra over 35 years ago to work in the architecture division of the National Capital Development Commision. His contribution to the architectural profession, architectural education, the arts, professional institutes and the community since has all been focused on his untiring commitment to contribute to the planning and design of Canberra.
Canberra has grown significantly since Rodney first arrived, with his work contributing in a significant and lasting way to the ongoing success of the city.
Rodney’s position, coupled with his contribution to public life, makes him a prominent member of the architectural community. He is a senior councilor and life fellow of the Australia Institute of Architects, Board member of Radford College, Member of ANU Campus Design Review Committee and recipient of the Australian Institute of Architects’ prestigious Canberra Medallion on five occasions.
Rodney was instrumental in the development of The COX Gallery which gives annual awards and exhibition space to graduates from the ANU School of Art.
