Tony joined COX in 2008 and as project architect has led significant residential, commercial and sporting projects. Tony’s broad skill set includes knowledge of design, construction and building information modelling (BIM) technologies. Tony became an Associate of COX in 2019.
Tony is responsible for the BIM system and training in our Canberra studio. As a result, he oversees many major projects, ensuring this technology is used effectively and efficiently. He is a member of the national eCOXteam, assigned with the study and implementation of design initiatives through education and practice.
Tony’s architectural career began in 2004, working in the sustainability sector on low energy residential and apartment projects. In 2008 he won a commendation for the Royal Institute of Architects ACT Affordable Housing Competition. In 2014, as project architect, Tony completed the Wayfarer Mixed Use Development Project – which at the time of completion was Canberra’s tallest building.
Tony regularly engages in community-based projects that incorporate interactive and educational elements. In 2012 Tony designed and facilitated a children’s mudbrick cubby house program at the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens, in Batemans Bay NSW.
