33 Cross Street, Double Bay Development
COX is delighted to be part of the 33 Cross Street Double Bay development with Rebel Property Group and Capitel Group.
33 Cross Street is the next chapter in the evolving legacy of Double Bay’s most beloved site, The InterContinental Hotel. Its evolution and metamorphosis as a luxury mixed use development that includes luxurious residential apartments, a boutique hotel, working space, wellness, restaurants and cinema complex.
The design proposal is inspired by the rich natural and geographic context derived from the world-famous harbour’s proximity and interpreted via a material palette that is reflective, fluid and that celebrates nature’s movement; light, trees, breezes and denizens alike .
The rich civic response to the urban streetscape anchors the site to the landmark that is Cross Street allowing for expressions of luxury, craft and couture, interpreted at streetscape.
It’s no casual cliche to suggest that the expression exudes qualities synonymous with style and elegance; considered, crafted and timeless. These fundamentals of high design are translated through the architecture to craft a building that is unparalleled in its physical presence, from grand gesture to micro detail.
The design vision is to create a global landmark of vibrant cosmopolitain lifestyle that emboldens the heart of Double Bay. We’ve achieved this by offering a space where local pride, civic connection, and a sense of ‘haute-home’ come to the fore, a place at once familiar yet obviously special.
This will contribute to the neighbourhood’s economic vitality while providing a diverse range of social, wellness, and leisure options and experiences.
By re-imagining one of the area’s most significant sites; 33 Cross will play a pivotal role in the ongoing success and evolution of Double Bay, transforming how both locals and visitors engage with this iconic waterfront village.
