The Australian Architecture awards season is well underway for 2017 with national wins for Cox Architecture announced.

Cox have come out strong in Brisbane, winning the Award for Sustainability Advancement at the Australian Interior Design Awards (AIDA), while the Anna Meares Velodrome took home the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) award for Public Architecture.

To top off thissuccess, the innovative Brisbane Ferry Terminals took home the much-coveted Best Overall Design for 2017 at the Good Design Awards in June.

Cox won a series of accolades across the Commercial, Heritage, and Urban design categories, including two named awards for Willinga Park in Interior and Public Architecture at the AIA ACT presentations. The Woden Stair also took home the Pamille Berg Award for Art in Architecture.

The West Australian AIA awards saw Cox win in the Heritage category for their excellent work restoring and refurbishing The Goods Shed, while The Box Office (our Melbourne studio) was awarded a commendation for Interior Architecture at the Victorian AIA awards.

Central Park Sydney was celebrated at the NSW presentations, winning the Lloyd Rees Award for Urban Design, a project designed in conjunction with Tzannes Architecture and Foster + Partners.
