Senior Interior Designer

COX is looking for a creative Interior Designer with more than 5 years’ experience. The successful candidate will join a collaborative group of young and exciting designers with a clear vision, working closely with the wider design team in a collaborative environment. The role will involve competency in all project phases – from concept to construction and competition, with a focus in creative interior design outcomes.

COX is a design-focused contemporary architectural practice with studios located in every major Australian city and a history spanning 60 years. Our national practice is over 500 talented architects, urban planners, interior designers, researchers, and digital visualisation experts. Our Perth studio comprises of 50 architects and interior designers, dedicated to local. regional and international projects.

Our core design values are centred on Structure, Craft, Art and Nature – interpreting each principle for the project at hand. Every project is approached with a ‘total design’ mindset, being design centric in all our thinking – from first sketch to final site advice.

Your Skills and Experience

A passion for interior design and architecture is essential. Experience in the Perth market including project procurement with a portfolio capturing key markets including commercial workplace, educational, health and residential projects, as well as State/Federal government projects, will be highly regarded.

Be a confident communicator involved in the full design process and project cycle, including briefing, client presentations, workspace design, space planning, concept development, design development, documentation, scheduling, specifications, contract administration and overall management of projects.

High capability in working autonomously and as part of an innovative interior/architectural team. Must be proficient in Revit software as well as skilled in AutoCAD, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
