Toorak College Community and Arts Precinct
Mount Eliza, Victoria

The performing arts have always held a special place in Toorak College’s history, inspiring students to become world class musicians, dancers, actresses and playwrights while fostering a lifelong love of creative pursuits.
Continuing this vision for the next generation, the Toorak College Community and Arts Precinct has become the new cultural heart of the school; a place for meeting, learning, performing and for memories to be created.

With adaptability and flexibility as key drivers, it is a truly multifunctional facility able to host 800 guests. Serving as a teaching space, an exam venue, an assembly hall, dining area and ballroom, the facility features the infrastructure and treatment to host musical, dance and theatre style performances.

At ground level, pre-function and gathering areas double as informal teaching, presentation and exhibition spaces. The ability to accommodate different uses at different times is key to the creation of this active and vibrant precinct.

Creating open spaces with a variety of gathering spaces, active edges and circulation paths encourages interaction, and facilitates more natural and spontaneous interactions between students and others in the school community.
