Two projects co-designed by Cox Architecture have been shortlisted at the 2018 World Architecture Festival.

Optus Stadium, designed by HASSELL, Cox Architecture and HKS has been shortlisted in the Sports – Completed Buildings category, while the Manakau Bus Station in New Zealand as designed with Beca Architects has been shortlisted in the Transport – Completed Buildings sector.

Together with our project partners, Cox Architecture recently celebrated Optus Stadiums’ win of five accolades, including best in the state George Temple Poole Award at the West Australian AIA Awards.

Cox Director Alastair Richardson said “after 12 years working on Optus Stadium, since the days of the original Major Stadium Task Force with KPMG, it is great to see this transformational project be recognised by our peers.”

The Manakau Bus Station also received the Award for Public Architecture at the Auckland Architecture Awards in May.
