Open House Melbourne 2022

For the first time since 2019, COX team members are leading in-person tours during Open House Melbourne weekend. With a few of our projects completed during the pandemic, this will be the first chance the public has to visit, explore, and learn from team members who worked closely on the projects.

This year, COX is highlighting projects across our commercial, residential, and public realm disciplines. Along with some of our project partners, we will be hosting tours of 130 Lonsdale at Wesley Place, Tower 1 of Queens Place, and Carrum Station.

130 Lonsdale is COX’s $600 million flagship building at Wesley Place. It is set to be one of three next-generation frictionless workplaces that will comprise this major urban renewal project in Melbourne’s CBD. Full program details can be found here.

Our Queens Place project, in partnership with Fender Katsalidis, is a compelling re-engagement of a high-profile city block delivering an urban-scale residential building to the cityscape and a distinctly Melbourne ground level experience. Full program details can be found here.

Our Carrum Station project, in partnership with WSP, is a testament to our engagement with Traditional owners in co-designing public spaces. With the Frankston rail line tracing ancient indigenous movement paths, there are numerous meaningful cultural sites located within the precinct-the design a response to the embedded cultural and community connections. Full program details can be found here

COX is a long-term supporter and is a Major Practice Partner of Open House Melbourne. We support their philosophy of fostering a public appreciation of architecture and public engagement through conversations about the future of our cities. Open House Melbourne continues to encourage civic participation, advocate for better-designed cities and educate about the built environment. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s events.
