Inside the Box Office
Open House aims to empower people with knowledge about the outcomes of good design decisions in our built environment, to ensure Melbourne remains a liveable and vibrant city now and in the future.
As part of the programme for the 2017 weekend, Cox Architecture’s Melbourne office, aptly-named the Box Office, opened its studio to small walking tours throughout the day, attracting over 500 visitors.
The tours talked about the history of Cox, our studio locations, expertise and a small presentation of current and iconic projects.
The feedback online and during the tours was overwhelmingly positive, with many citing the space as a benchmark for a collaborative and creative studio design.
We ran a competition on social media open to all who attended, garnering over 150 photo entries highlighting the diverse angles and details of the space. Take a look at the #CoxOpenHouse hashtag on Instagram to see the fantastic snaps from those who participated.
Thank you to Open House Melbourne for running an event that so positively engages Melbournians with our city and it’s architecture.
