Patrick is the Design Director of the Melbourne studio. He is a member of the COX Board, the COX International Committee and the COX Design and Marketing Committee.
Patrick’s chief role is as concept designer for Melbourne-based architectural and urban planning projects. In this role, he has been involved in designing many of Melbourne’s most renowned buildings as well as significant international exemplars. Some of these projects include AAMI Park (Rectangular) Stadium in the Melbourne & Olympic Park precinct, the National Tennis Centre expansion, Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, the Conservatory apartment tower and Melbourne City Library.
He also provides national design expertise across the sports, education and transport sectors. His most renowned education projects include Building G of the Chisholm Institute in Victoria and the Footscray Nicholson Learning Commons at Victoria University, while his Transport projects include North Melbourne Rail Station and South Morang Rail Station in Melbourne.
Patrick is an enthusiastic advocate for the thoughtful and appropriate application of architecture to enhance the way we live and relate to our built environment. He is passionate about urban regeneration – the knitting together of communities and precincts, as well as the integration of educational campuses with their wider contexts. He views architecture as a critical catalyst for community development, seeing each diverse project through a variety of lenses.
