Australian Film Television and Radio School

Moore Park, Sydney

The Australian Film, Television and Radio School is Australia’s pre-eminent tertiary education destination for professional media studies. Found in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter – it is surrounded by Australian Entertainment outlets, including Fox Studios Australia.

The school integrates teaching and administrative spaces – intertwining technical teaching spaces spanning film and television, radio and recording, theatre, post-production and editing. It also hosts a publicly accessible media resource centre, cinema and café.

The buildings ingenuity and design has shifted the school’s operation, encouraging better relationships between staff and students and between the school and public domain. This was primarily achieved through a large naturally lit and ventilated atrium space – all main departments have a presence and the public is invited to participate.
