John is a Consulting Partner at COX Architecture. He was a Director of COX from 1973 to 2022.
Throughout this time, John was the Project Director for many of the practice’s most notable local and international projects. With extensive experience, he led teams on over 30 award-winning projects, with both a Sir Zelman Cowan Award and Sulman Award on his list of achievements.
John’s work across planning and urban design, transport, resorts, sports facilities, exhibition and convention centres and health and education facilities. Most noteworthy was his work on the Ayers Rock Tourist Resort, Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney Exhibition Centre, Australian Maritime Museum and Sydney Metro.
He has been involved as a committee member and councillor on many industry association boards including the Australian Institute of Architects AIA (NSW Chapter) where he previously served as President. John is currently a board member of the National Trust (NSW) and the Australian Services Roundtable.
