COX wins an IDEA for Willinga Park Reception Building

COX in association with Sally Hieatt Interiors, won an award for the Willinga Park Reception Building at last Friday’s IDEA 2018 in Sydney.

The Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) was launched by inside magazine in 2003 and has grown to become Australia’s largest and most successful independent design awards program.

Willinga Park Reception Building received the Public Space Award in an acknowledgement of its unique fusion of art, design and equestrian life.

In accepting the award, Cox Director Chris Millman thanked our client, Terry Snow, for his courageous input and for encouraging us to ‘go for it’ in conceiving the design.

Our bold vision for Willinga Park was inspired by sculptural land art and defined internally by impeccable detailing and an approach that goes beyond the static image of the new, instead embracing the dynamic nature of materials as they weather with time.

In exciting news, Willinga Park will also feature in the first edition of our newest periodical, entitled Cox01. Congratulations to our project team for their outstanding work on this project!
