Since joining COX in 2015, Karin has developed a near-decade-long career specialising in public-sector projects, from conceptual design to built works across iconic educational and cultural landmarks. Her portfolio includes high-profile projects such as the Riverside Theatres Renewal and Master Plan, the Powerhouse Ultimo Design Competition, MLC Performing Arts Precinct, University of Sydney’s Engineering and Technology Precinct, and numerous adaptive reuse and urban regeneration projects.
During her Master’s in Architecture at the University of Sydney, Karin received both the Postgraduate Innovation Prize and the CHL Turner Memorial Prize, and was nominated for the 2020 AIA NSW Student’s Choice Awards. Alongside her project work, Karin contributes as a guest critic and mentor at the University of Sydney and through Parlour’s mentoring program. In 2023, she was a finalist in the Australian Design Review’s 30 UNDER 30.
A registered architect and aspiring urbanist, Karin is committed to architecture that positively impacts urban spaces and supports connected, vibrant communities.
