Carol started her journey at COX in 1996 as an exchange architect for the Princess Alexandra Hospital’s Acute Centre. She holds degrees in architecture, environmental design and business management.
Carol returned to the firm full-time in 1999 and has since become deputy head of our health services group – dedicated to hospital and allied health facilities. Notable health-care facilities she’s worked on include the Grace Maternity Hospital and the Springhill Regional Hospital in Canada, Sponh South Hospital in Texas and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Hospital in Belgium.
In addition to hospital work, Carol has extensive experience in the field of semi-conductor fabrication facility design, documentation and associated support facilities.
Carol has a strong understanding of project management and its application to architectural projects – particularly complex projects with multiple buildings and interdisciplinary teams running concurrently. She has successfully managed teams of 5 to 20 staff, in addition to acting in the role of principal consultant.
