After working with Peter Beaven, Wilson and Hill Architects and Athfield Architects in Christchurch, Michael joined the COX Melbourne studio in 2013.
He has over twenty years of experience in Australia and New Zealand across a broad range of projects including community buildings, sport, knowledge, commercial and multi-residential.
Since joining the COX team, Michael has taken on the role of project architect for the 567 Collins St office building and the Sale St multi-residential project in Auckland. Michael was the senior project architect for the 35-storey Wesley Place 130 Lonsdale St office building and mentored members of the project team, guiding them through what was for many their first major project. He is also a senior member of the 555 Collins St office building.
He has developed specialist knowledge and skill in facade design and detailing for various projects involving different construction methods, materials and complexity.
Michael also has experience with a number of Green Star rated projects in New Zealand and Australia, including the GBCA 5 star rated 567 Collins St office building and the NZGBC 6 star rated Christchurch Civic Building.
