Nura graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Architectural Technology in 2002. She then obtained a Bachelor of Built Environment followed by a Bachelor of Architecture from Queensland University of Technology in 2007.
Nura joined COX during her final year of studies and has since become one of our highly skilled Architects, while also maintaining her role as the Brisbane Studio BIM Manager. In 2012, she became the project BIM manager for the $500 million Townsville Hospital Redevelopment, a complex integration of new buildings and alterations to a continuously functioning major hospital. She continues to collaborate with the Townsville University Hospital, leading several alteration projects in her role as Project Architect.
Nura has further advanced our BIM management and documentation on projects such as the Christchurch Justice and Emergency Precinct in New Zealand, the Energex Headquarters at Brisbane’s Newstead Riverpark, and The Ninth Middle Ridge, a luxury retirement village. Her contributions include intricate construction detailing for the Australian War Memorial façade in Canberra. A pivotal project where she held roles as both Project Architect and BIM Manager was the Sydney Coliseum in Western Sydney, completed in 2019.
Besides her work in Australia, Nura has experience in various overseas architectural practices, including in Singapore, Malaysia, and New Zealand.
