Gerard joined COX in 2009. He worked with Colin Stewart Architects while studying at the University of Canberra, where he graduated in 2005 with First Class Honours.
He spent time at HBO+EMTB in Canberra where he worked on the redevelopment of Harry Seidler’s Trade Office Building in Barton for the AFP.
Gerard’s experience includes project architect roles for Stage 2 of the Belconnen Arts Centre, the Canberra Girls Grammar Junior School Hall, the 241 Northbourne Apartments, and the St Christopher Cathedral Redevelopment in Canberra.
Gerard maintains a strong engagement with the Canberra design community through small community projects such as the Scentenary Garden for Hennessy House Mental Health Unit, and through his writing online. He has contributed pieces to Meanjin Quarterly and other publications that focus on urban and architectural issues.
