Ian is an urban designer with more than twenty years’ experience on projects around the world. He has been a Director of COX since 1992 and has led urban design and architecture teams with strategic advice, leadership, vision and innovation to ensure the delivery of services and successful project outcomes.
Ian is a strong communicator with skills in stakeholder engagement, including leading and facilitating design workshops. His experience in urban design across Australia and overseas brings fresh perspectives to the management of built form outcomes.
He brings extensive knowledge of renewal projects, land use strategies, master planning and urban design, working on projects from large scale strategic planning to small street levels of urban realms.
Ian is actively involved in the Royal Australian instate of Architects as a Committee Member, Committee and Board Chairman, Council Member and Vice President. He has tutored at both the University of NSW and Sydney University and has been guest editor of the RAIA Bulletin Magazine.
