Karen is a highly experienced Director of COX and a passionate interior designer. She is currently COX’s Chair of the Board of Directors. She brings extensive design knowledge and strong skills in the interpretation of strategic requirements, design processes and design delivery to projects including workplace, health, education, defence, security, embassy, government, cultural and community, public spaces, retail and hospitality, hotel, and residential. Her roles have entailed design research and analysis, creation and implementation of new design policies, design strategies and management of wider design supply chain.
As a highly effective communicator, Karen frequently enables powerful change management strategies. This is evidenced in her extensive success in government, corporate and workplace design projects, specifically in the generation of strategic project requirements, consultation processes and integration of highly technical requirements.
With a detailed knowledge of the contemporary workplace, Karen seeks to combine the requirements of functional performance with values and behaviours that are specific to the organisations and stakeholders she collaborates with.
