Karen is a highly experienced and creative interior designer with extensive design knowledge and strong skills in the interpretation of requirements, design processes and design delivery. After several years with the practice, Karen was elevated to Director in 2017.
With over 20 years’ experience, Karen is a confident and effective communicator who possesses broad interpersonal and change management skills.
Karen has a diverse background with sector experience in luxury hotel and hospitality design through to in-house design management for a financial services provider. Whilst in this role Karen was responsible for the research, design analysis, creation and implementation of new design policies, strategies design and management of wider design supply chain. This wide-ranging appreciation of the role design plays within an organisation has, in turn, helped inform how she can shape the outcome.
Karen also has extensive experience in Government, corporate and workplace design projects, specifically in the generation of strategic project requirements, consultation processes and integration of highly technical requirements. Karen has detailed knowledge of the contemporary workplace and seeks to combine the requirements of functional performance with organisational values and behaviours.
