Joanne is an experienced architect and accredited sustainability professional who specialises in carbon reduction and building circularity, and is passionate about decarbonising the built environment.
Joanne has a background in climate action in the built environment. She is accredited as a LEED AP with US Green Building Council, WELL AP with International WELL Building Institute and Living Future Accreditation with International Living Future Institute.
With an academic background, Joanne was a research assistant at UNSW and the University of Sydney where she focused on urban heat and machine learning integration in design respectively.
In her current role as National Sustainability Lead at COX, Joanne develops strategies, processes and tools to support COX’s decarbonisation targets, and conducts life cycle assessments on global COX projects across a mix of sector typologies.
Joanne has a Master of Architecture degree (with a specialisation in High Performance Technology) from the University of New South Wales where she was awarded the Construction and Practice Prize.
