Jae joined COX’s Brisbane studio in 2016, initially providing parametric design and documentation solutions. Before joining COX, Jae worked and studied in various cities across South Korea, the United States and Australia. He brings experience from his international design work on specialised form-making, master planning, residential, commercial and art installation.
In the Canberra studio, Jae has a focus on urban revitalisation projects in the Woden and Belconnen area, which includes master planning, retail precinct, built-to-rent/sell and commercial typologies.
Jae emphasises collaboration throughout his work by actively engaging clients, artists, designers, and engineers in the process and ensuring the essential and innovative ideas are captured in the results.
Jae is a member of Australia-Korea Architecture Network (AKAN) that consists of academics and professional practitioners providing international symposiums. Jae also teaches BIM and computational documentation techniques at UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture.
