Zen is a highly experienced architect specialising in master planning and urban design projects of varying scales, from individual sites to street blocks, precincts, districts and cities.
His core interest lies in the creation of distinctive, dynamic, delightful and enduring public realms through 3D sculpting of internal and external public spaces. He brings that together with a focus on strategies to seamlessly weave within an existing cityscape, further consolidating the larger urban structure of the city.
Zen has worked across the globe, including in Australia, the USA and Asia. Prior to joining COX, he was at the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Singapore where his experience and skills contributed to creating the prominent city skyline, distinctive precincts, and memorable places within the city, most notably in and around Marina Bay and CBD. Since then, Zen has made a significant contribution to the design of many vibrant places and urban landscapes in and around Melbourne.
