Bringing over two decades of experience in Australia and New Zealand, Michael has expertise across a broad range of typologies including community, sport, education, commercial and multi residential. He has developed specialist knowledge in facade design and detailing involving various construction methods, materials and levels of complexity.
Since joining COX in 2013, Michael has acted as project architect for the 567 Collins Street commercial office building and the Grace Victoria Quarter – Sale Street Apartments project in Auckland. He was the senior project architect for the 35-storey 130 Lonsdale Street office building at Wesley Place, mentoring the project team through what was for many their first major project. He is also a senior member of the project team for the 555 Collins Street commercial office tower.
Having successfully completed several Green Star rated projects in Australia and New Zealand, including the 5 Star 567 Collins Street and NZGBC 6 Star rated Christchurch Civic Building, Michael is a strong advocate for quantifiable environmental sustainability.
